Position Summary
The Politan Row Ambassador is a dynamic, fast-paced role, responsible for guest communications, reservation management, and overall stewardship of our venues and offerings. The ambassador acts as the first and last point of contact upon guest arrival and departure, ensuring guest satisfaction during their experience.
In the performance of their respective tasks and duties, all employees are expected to conform to the following:

● Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations
Responsibilities, Duties, Functions, and Tasks
• Acknowledge and greet all guests upon arrival to the space, answering questions, and communicating the fundamentals of our food hall operations to first-time customers
• Manage and seat reservations for VIP table holds, tasting tables, and the cocktail lounge
• Ensures that all guests entering cocktail lounge spaces are carded, and over 21-years-old
• Ensures that Patio rules are kindly enforced and adhered to by guests
• Has a welcoming and accommodating attitude with every guest
• Must be knowledgeable and aware of current and future activations, promotions, and private events, and be able to direct guests to and answer questions about the day’s happenings across the hall
• Maintains a professional appearance, dress code, and integrity of the venue at all times
• Maintains general knowledge of vendors and their offerings
• Diffuses situations calmly and respectfully, preventing escalation whenever possible
• Effectively and professionally communicates across multiple platforms with our guests via email, phone, Resy, and social media direct messages
• Effectively and professionally communicates with our team via Slack, email, and on-shift radio communications
• Assists the floor team in bussing and resetting tables when needed
• Coordinates any concerns or unsatisfactory experiences of our guests to the Manager on Duty for immediate resolution
• Ensures the highest level of cleanliness and safety in our space at all times, pro-actively reporting issues to the Manager on Duty
• Monitors and protects property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire and accidents.
• Manages parking validation upon guest departure
• Prints, displays, and updates in-store directional and marketing signage, ensuring displays are clean and in good repair
• All other duties as needed.

• Self-motivated, positive attitude and willingness to work as a team to go above and beyond expectations
• Ability to spot potential situations and resolve conflicts with respect and decorum, escalating to management when necessary

• Ability to keep an open and objective view, listen empathetically, and be respectful always
• Successful applicants must be able to transition between busy and slower times of the evening, maximizing every guest’s experience.

Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Two (2) or more years of experience in a restaurant, bar or lounge, or similar setting
Skills and Aptitudes
● Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
● Creative problem solver abilities – must be able to identify real obstacles and viable solutions
● Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, while maintaining composure
● Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
● Industry knowledge and strong passion for guest service.

Ability to speak and hear, vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Be able to work in a standing/walking position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
Be able to reach, bend, stoop
Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to lift and move patio furniture when necessary
Ability to speak and hear, vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Regularly required to use hands and frequent washing of hands.
Additional Information:
Position will be required to work nights and weekends.
