Team Spotlight: Preshous Mitchell
Preshous Mitchell, Politan Row Assistant General Manager
What is your hometown? Walnut Creek, CA
Your favorite childhood meal? Lasagna. Both my uncle and my grandmother have their own recipes and they’re both great.
Coffee or Tea? Depends on the day. If I’m tired, I go for coffee, and I go for tea if I want to relax.
How did you end up in Atlanta?
During COVID I moved to Atlanta to help my grandmother. She’s not so great with technology and she isn’t able to drive anymore, so I moved out here to make sure she had and could get everything she needed since almost everything needed to be ordered online and delivered during that time.
Why did you stay? Because I started working at Politan Row!
How did you end up working for us? I was exploring the city on a shopping spree. I walked in and asked for an application and (General Manager) Ali hired me on the spot.
Why hospitality? What excites you about working in our business? I’ve always worked in the hospitality industry, but kind of stepped out into a new part of that when I came to Politan Row. Prior to this I had primarily worked in retail jobs. Hospitality is all about making connections. Every day you come in and you meet a new employee or a new customer and find a way to connect with them. Politan inside of midtown is such a great area to make connections. The vibe here is so interesting and different every day.
In your memory, what was your favorite day at Politan Row? It was a while back, the first buy out event for a TV show wrap party. That was an amazing night. The guests were so nice. Before we started the night our GM took us to the hotel and played some little trust games to build that bond between teammates before we started. Lots of laughs and giggles. Definitely a great memory.
What is your favorite meal from the food hall? The buffalo chicken pizza from Belli.
What do you do for fun? People are often surprised to hear that I’m a skater – like skateboards. I’m also a hairstylist and I love to paint.
